What happens if you play all national anthems of the world at the same time?

The national anthem serves as an attribute of recognition, that every citizen from young child to high age can recognize for his or her own country. Each anthem for itself is a uniquely composed piece of music with the purpose of representing and giving unity to a whole nation.

For this art work I layered all national anthems of the world on top of each other and thus create an almost unbearable wall of sound that slowly dims out towards progression of the piece. The anthems thus are dismantled of their initial scope and become transformed into a pure force of noise.
